About the job

Lely is looking for a Data & Research Expert to investigate complex dairy farming questions using data and scientific theory. You will collaborate with international colleagues and data specialists to develop analytical tools and support research.

What you will do

Investigate complex questions in dairy farming using data and scientific theory
Formulate research questions and identify research partners
Support internal and external research with data and methodological expertise
Analyze trends and patterns in sensor and performance data
Develop analytical tools and provide training for advisers
Collaborate with international colleagues and data specialists

What you bring

Master's or PhD in Animal Sciences, Livestock Sciences or related agricultural discipline
At least five years of experience in data analysis or applied scientific research
Experience initiating, conducting or supervising scientific research
Strong experience with Python, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and Tableau
Ability to connect perspectives from dairy farmers to product developers
Excellent spoken and written English
