About the job

Lely is looking for a Software Architect to define and evolve end-to-end software architectures across frontend, backend, integrations, and platform domains. In this role, you will support development teams in making architectural decisions while balancing business needs, technical quality, and long-term maintainability. You will contribute hands-on to solution design, prototyping, and critical implementations.

What you will do

Define and evolve end-to-end software architectures across frontend, backend, integrations, and platform domains
Support development teams in making architectural decisions and balancing business needs, technical quality, and long-term maintainability
Contribute hands-on to solution design, prototyping, and critical implementations
Drive continuous improvements in scalability, modularity, technical debt reduction, and software quality
Coach and mentor engineers to strengthen technical craftsmanship and architectural thinking
Collaborate with Product Management, UX, Data, and Platform teams to deliver customer value

What you bring

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Extensive experience as Software Architect, Lead Engineer, or Senior Software Engineer with architectural responsibilities
Broad understanding of modern software development across frontend, backend, APIs, cloud platforms, and DevOps
Experience designing scalable and maintainable software architectures in complex environments
Ability to balance innovation, technical constraints, and business priorities
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in multidisciplinary Agile environments

Nice to have

Experience with .NET, distributed systems, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and modern frontend frameworks
