Hitachi is looking for a Field Service Technician to work onsite in Rotterdam. You will commission, install, and maintain high-voltage and electromechanical systems at customer sites. This role involves troubleshooting, repairs, and providing on-site training.
What you will do
- Commission, install, test, and maintain high-voltage and electromechanical systems at customer sites
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues related to electrical and mechanical systems
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs using technical drawings and diagnostic tools
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and local regulations
- Communicate with customers about service work, equipment performance, and safety measures
- Provide basic on-site training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance
What you bring
- Technical diploma (MBO or equivalent) in mechatronics, electromechanics, or electrical engineering
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in field service, maintenance, or commissioning
- Strong practical skills: able to read electrical diagrams, connect wiring, and assemble mechanical components
- Demonstrated safety awareness and the courage to stop or refuse unsafe work
- Good communication skills in Dutch (B1) and English (B2)
- Valid driver’s license and readiness to travel frequently within Belgium and/or the Netherlands
