About the job

IFS is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their team in 's-Hertogenbosch. In this hybrid role, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable APIs, services, and user interfaces for an agentic industrial emissions platform. You will modernize legacy systems and deliver AI-native features across the stack.

What you will do

  • Lead design and implementation of scalable APIs, services, and user interfaces
  • Modernize legacy systems into modular, event-driven, API-first components
  • Deliver AI-native features across front-end and back-end
  • Provide technical direction and make engineering trade-offs
  • Own reliability and operational excellence including telemetry and incident response
  • Champion DevOps practices and collaborate with Platform Engineers

What you bring

  • Strong experience in full stack software engineering
  • Solid experience with modern front-end technologies, especially React
  • Strong back-end engineering experience, ideally with GoLang
  • Experience designing and building scalable APIs and cloud-native applications
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices
  • Ability to lead technical design discussions and influence architectural decisions

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Experience with event-driven architectures or microservices
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems
  • Experience working in cross-functional product teams
  • Experience mentoring engineers
  • Experience with AI-enabled or sustainability products
