About the job

Clera is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design and build a multi-source data platform. This remote role involves orchestrating workflows, building event-driven systems, and implementing robust data pipelines.

What you will do

  • Design and build a multi-source data platform
  • Ingest data from APIs, webhooks, files, and web scraping
  • Orchestrate scheduled workflows and backfills
  • Build event-driven systems with messaging or task queues
  • Preserve payloads in cloud storage and transform data
  • Implement idempotent upserts, validation, and monitoring

What you bring

  • At least 5 years building and operating production data platforms
  • Production experience with workflow orchestration
  • Hands-on production experience with dbt and Google Cloud Platform
  • Strong Python skills including asynchronous HTTP and concurrent processing
  • Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills
  • Experience with event-driven systems and messaging or task queues

Nice to have

  • Experience with data contracts, raw and curated storage, and automated validation
  • Experience building platforms or substantial pipelines from scratch
  • Web scraping, entity resolution, LLM-based extraction, BigQuery, and Dataform experience
