About the job

Clera is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design and build a multi-source data platform. This role focuses on ingestion, event-driven processing, and data transformation for the LATAM region.

What you will do

  • Design multi-source data platform for concurrent ingestion and event-driven processing
  • Build intake pipelines for APIs, webhooks, files, and web scraping
  • Orchestrate scheduled workflows and historical backfills
  • Develop messaging and task queue systems with retries and dead-letter queues
  • Preserve source payloads in cloud storage and transform data with dbt
  • Implement idempotent upserts, data contracts, validation, and monitoring

What you bring

  • At least 5 years building and operating production data platforms
  • Hands-on production experience with dbt and Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
  • Strong Python skills including asynchronous HTTP and concurrent processing
  • Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills including data modeling and query optimization
  • Experience with event-driven systems, messaging, and failure recovery

Nice to have

  • Web scraping experience
  • Entity resolution and company data enrichment
  • LLM-based extraction
  • Building platforms from scratch in small teams
