About the job

Clera is looking for a Senior Integrations Engineer to design and operate end-to-end partner data flows and build backend services for IoT and shipment data. This remote role focuses on developing integrations with external partner APIs, webhooks, and event-driven systems.

What you will do

  • Design and operate end-to-end partner data flows
  • Build backend services and event-driven systems for IoT and shipment data
  • Develop integrations with external partner APIs, webhooks, queues, carriers, sensors, and vendors
  • Build data models, APIs, and workflows for shipment risk assessment and exception handling
  • Improve service reliability through testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability
  • Work independently as a senior individual contributor on a small integrations team

What you bring

  • At least 5 years of backend engineering experience, 6 to 10 years preferred
  • Proficiency in Python and TypeScript or Node.js
  • Experience with SQL, relational data modeling, NoSQL databases, and ETL pipelines
  • Production ownership of external partner integrations and end-to-end data pipelines
  • Experience with IoT data, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and REST or gRPC APIs

Nice to have

  • Logistics, supply chain, cold-chain, shipment risk, or regulated healthcare data experience
  • Familiarity with related security and privacy requirements
