About the job

Clera is looking for a Senior Integrations Engineer to design and build backend services for IoT and partner data ingestion. You will own partner data flows from ingestion to monitoring and on-call support, and build event-driven systems for shipment risk analysis and exception handling.

What you will do

  • Design and build backend services for IoT and partner data ingestion
  • Own partner data flows from ingestion to monitoring and on-call support
  • Build event-driven systems for shipment risk analysis and exception handling
  • Develop and maintain APIs, data models, and integrations
  • Deploy and operate services on cloud infrastructure
  • Contribute to testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability

What you bring

  • At least 5 years of backend engineering experience with scalable distributed systems
  • Proficiency in Python and TypeScript or Node.js
  • Experience with relational databases, SQL, and data modeling
  • Experience owning external partner-facing integrations and production data flows
  • Familiarity with IoT data, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and REST or gRPC APIs

Nice to have

  • Logistics, cold-chain, supply-chain, or shipment-risk experience
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases, ETL, or data security and privacy
