About the job

Mozilla is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join its SecOps team in a remote role. You will be responsible for identifying and responding to security incidents on a global scale, acting as an incident commander, and improving security operations through automation and threat hunting.

What you will do

Identify and respond to security incidents globally
Act as incident commander through the response lifecycle
Design and maintain security alerts, automated actions, playbooks, and escalation workflows
Conduct threat hunting and anticipate future threats
Research threat intelligence reports and manage workflows
Partner with stakeholders and maintain feedback loops

What you bring

5+ years managing security incidents at global scale or SOC/PSIRT/CSIRT experience
Expertise with SIEM systems (e.g., ELK, Google BigQuery, Splunk)
Expertise with endpoint detection and EDR tools
Expertise with SOAR platforms (e.g., Tines, Splunk SOAR)
Superb communication and leadership skills
Practical experience with cloud technologies (e.g., GCP, AWS, Heroku, Azure)

Nice to have

Real-world software development or engineering operations experience
B.S. in a technology-focused field
