Mozilla is looking for a Senior Staff Data Engineer to design and improve data processing systems handling tens of terabytes per day. You will evaluate new technologies, build workflows in GCP, and mentor teammates while driving cross-functional projects.

What you will do

Design and improve data processing systems for tens of terabytes per day
Evaluate new technologies and set best-practice standards
Build workflows in GCP using Dataflow, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GKE, and Airflow
Drive cross-functional projects with stakeholders
Mentor teammates and develop engineering best practices
Design data abstractions with Data Science

What you bring

10+ years combined experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, Data Science, or Data Analyst roles
Deep expertise in Data Engineering and Data Platform Engineering
Experience with data tooling in GCP, AWS, or Azure
Experience with Looker, Fivetran, Kubernetes, Airflow, or Terraform
Advanced coding skills in SQL and Python
Strong software engineering fundamentals
