Sensorfact is looking for a Medior IoT Engineer to join their team in Utrecht. In this hybrid role, you will develop and maintain embedded software for gateway devices and sensors, working closely with cross-functional teams to define end-to-end IoT solutions.

  • Develop and maintain embedded software on gateway devices and sensors
  • Optimize sensor solutions based on product requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and architect end-to-end IoT solutions
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback on colleagues' work
  • Participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions to solve scalability challenges

Wat je meebrengt

  • 3+ years of experience building software for connected devices, preferably with industrial IoT products based on real-time operating systems
  • Embedded Linux user-space fundamental knowledge and experience
  • Hands-on experience developing embedded software for MCUs and SoCs running an RTOS (e.g. Zephyr, FreeRTOS)
  • Experience with wireless protocols such as Wi-Fi and BLE
  • Working knowledge of bootloaders and OTA update flows (MCUboot, ESP-IDF bootloader)
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP stack, IP addressing, subnetting, TCP vs UDP, DNS, TLS)

Mooi meegenomen

  • MSc level education, preferably in a technical field specializing in embedded systems or industrial technology
  • Experience optimizing power consumption on battery-powered devices
  • Familiarity with electronics design (reading schematics and debugging a board)
  • Comfortable with oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter, and power measurement tools
  • Demonstrable working experience with IoT-specific communication protocols
  • Previous experience in IoT system architecture and design
