About the job

Adyen is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead its Identity & Verification Services team in Amsterdam. You will guide a team of 7 engineers, own the team's execution and roadmap, and shape platform scaling.

What you will do

  • Lead, coach and grow a team of 7 engineers
  • Own team execution and roadmap with Product
  • Engage in system design and architecture discussions
  • Shape platform scaling including migrations and versioning
  • Collaborate with leaders across Unified Platform and product teams
  • Hire and develop engineers

What you bring

  • 2+ years of people management experience leading software engineering teams
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, primarily backend
  • Experience with distributed systems in production at scale

Nice to have

  • Experience with Java
  • Exposure to KYC, identity verification, onboarding or compliance-driven systems
  • Experience building B2B platforms
