Pinely is looking for a Group Lead ML Infrastructure to build and manage the internal ML platform in Amsterdam. This role combines hands-on development with team leadership, driving the performance of large-scale model training.

What you will do

Develop internal ML platform including training framework, data pipelines, orchestration, experiment tracking, and release tooling
Manage end-to-end performance of large-scale model training such as GPU utilization and training time
Set technical agenda by identifying bottlenecks and prioritizing improvements
Lead engineers with diverse profiles including hiring and mentoring
Contribute directly to the ML platform code
Collaborate with DL researchers on shared code and debugging

What you bring

Experience in technical leadership of teams building ML platforms
Strong background in large-scale ML training systems, GPU performance engineering, distributed training, or data pipeline infrastructure
Hands-on experience accelerating ML research in production or research settings
Strong sense of ownership over code quality and reproducibility
Ability to sustain pace while fostering team culture
Ability to work at the DL/infrastructure boundary
