About the job

Monumental is looking for a Junior Ops Associate to join their team in Amsterdam. In this role you will support people operations, finance, compliance, and general business tasks while learning how a startup operates.

What you will do

Manage people operations including onboarding, pay, equity, contracts, leave, and visas
Handle finance operations such as monthly close, supplier payments, and cash tracking
Ensure compliance with Dutch employment and safety regulations
Automate repetitive processes using AI
Support general business operations like recruiting or business development
Take on more complex work as skills grow

What you bring

Eager to learn and take on any task
Recent graduate with strong internship experience or up to one year of full-time work
Organized and reliable with attention to detail
Precise with numbers and able to reconcile invoices
Discreet with sensitive information
Fluent in Dutch and English

Nice to have

Exposure to Dutch employment topics like 30% ruling, WBSO, UWV, or arbo service
Experience with staffing or temp agencies
Familiarity with VCA or safety compliance in construction or manufacturing
Some bookkeeping or basic finance exposure
Exposure to recruiting or business development
Time at a fast-growing startup or scale-up
