About the job

Mollie is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will take ownership of financial reporting and contribute to key projects in a dynamic fintech environment.

What you will do

  • Own monthly and yearly close, including complex accounts like revenue, cost of sales, provisions, and taxes
  • Lead regulatory reporting end to end, including DNB submissions
  • Manage finance projects from kickoff to launch with engineering and product
  • Build financial solutions with FP&A, tax, operations, and procurement
  • Coach and support junior accountants
  • Prepare for and support external auditors during annual audit

What you bring

  • Degree in accountancy and/or finance
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accountancy and/or finance
  • Track record of using AI to drive productivity and improve processes through automation
  • Experience managing complex accounts including revenue, cost of sales, provisions, and taxes
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP, plus tax accounting including CIT, VAT, and WKR
  • Experience with month end and year end close processes

Nice to have

  • Post accountancy qualification such as ACCA, RA, or CPA (preferred, not strict)
  • Strong fintech or general accounting experience without certification (considered)
