About the job

Airwallex is seeking a Senior Manager for Obligations Management to join their team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will maintain and improve the central Global Obligations Register while partnering with Risk and Compliance to structure controls for monitoring and testing. You will also manage the centralized global RFI knowledge base and the global central audit register.

What you will do

  • Maintain and improve the central Global Obligations Register
  • Partner with Risk and Compliance to structure controls for monitoring and testing
  • Manage the centralized global RFI knowledge base
  • Maintain the global central audit register and track remediation
  • Incorporate legal interpretations and horizon-scanning insights into the obligations registry
  • Establish operating procedures, data standards, and reporting for obligations management

What you bring

  • 8–10+ years in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, internal audit, or operational risk in financial services or fintech
  • 3+ years managing a compliance inventory, obligations framework, audit issue program, RFI process, or GRC workstream across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience building or maintaining compliance matrices and mapping controls to regulatory requirements
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into processes, data structures, and reporting
  • High-ownership, systematic problem-solving with strong written communication
  • Experience improving processes and implementing tooling in a fast-growing environment

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Juris Doctor, Master of Laws, or master’s degree in Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, or Business Administration
  • Professional designation such as CAMS, CIA, or equivalent GRC credential
  • Experience in a high-growth cross-border payments company, neobank, or API-driven digital platform
  • Experience selecting, deploying, or configuring GRC software
  • Experience leading projects or mentoring in obligations management or compliance operations
