Stream is looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure to join their team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will define platform SLOs, lead infrastructure design, and build internal tools to improve shipping and debugging processes.

What you will do

  • Define platform SLOs for latency and uptime
  • Lead infrastructure design reviews and decisions
  • Build internal tools for shipping, deploying, and debugging
  • Participate in on-call and implement durable fixes
  • Make infrastructure cost visible to teams

What you bring

  • Writes production code in Go, Python, or similar
  • Strong system design in distributed systems
  • Solid fundamentals in networking, storage, and concurrency
  • Owned high-scale production systems and set technical direction
  • Uses AI tools daily in engineering work
  • Writes clearly for docs and standards

Nice to have

  • Kubernetes in production
  • PostgreSQL at scale, ideally self-hosted
  • Valkey or Redis at scale on Kubernetes
  • Hands-on AWS and GCP
  • SLO design and observability stack
  • Real-time systems experience
