About the job

Quantware, a company in Delft, is looking for a Quantum R&D Measurement Engineer to execute DC, RF, and microwave measurements on test structures and quantum processors. This role involves working with cryogenic systems and microwave instrumentation in a hands-on lab environment.

What you will do

  • Execute DC, RF, and microwave measurements on test structures and quantum processors at room and cryogenic temperatures
  • Collect, process, and document high-quality measurement data for R&D projects
  • Operate and maintain laboratory measurement setups, including cryogenic systems and microwave instrumentation
  • Provide experimental feedback and execution support across system development stages
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, wiring, noise, and setup configurations

What you bring

  • BSc or MSc in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Hands-on experience with electrical/RF lab equipment (e.g., VNAs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, signal generators)
  • Experience with cryogenic measurement setups (industrial or academic)
  • Strong interest in hands-on lab work, test automation, and data acquisition
  • Basic Python skills for data processing or instrument control
  • Detail-oriented with focus on data accuracy and methodical testing

Nice to have

  • PhD
  • Familiarity with superconducting qubits, low-temperature physics, or microwave engineering
