Qualinx is seeking a Senior Communication System Engineer to design and implement advanced communication systems in Delft. You will focus on optimizing bandwidth, latency, reliability, and power efficiency while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What you will do

Design and implement communication systems focusing on bandwidth, latency, reliability, and power efficiency
Develop algorithms for system-level problems
Analyze standard requirements and benchmark competitor performance
Collaborate with hardware, software, and network engineers for system integration
Work with RTL teams on fixed-point modeling and FPGA/ASIC realization
Develop and execute test plans for system validation

What you bring

Strong MATLAB programming and scripting skills
Deep knowledge of digital signal processing and physical layer components
Solid understanding of physical and MAC layers of at least one standard (Bluetooth, Cellular, LoRa, Broadcast/Space, GNSS, or IEEE)
Experience collaborating with RTL teams on fixed-point calculations and FPGA or ASIC implementation

Nice to have

Experience with Simulink modeling and simulation
Familiarity with system-level trade-offs in low-power wireless communication design
Master degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
At least 5 years of experience in communication systems design and troubleshooting
