About the job
Telnyx is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its AI Enablement Team. In this role, you will design, build, and operate production services for AI agents, while also creating internal tools and external integrations for customers.
What you will do
- Design, build, and operate production services for AI agents
- Build internal tools to improve employee efficiency
- Build external integrations and connectors for customer use
- Develop reusable primitives for meetings, browsing, search, email, payments
- Define reliable interfaces and workflows for agent tool use
- Improve safety, observability, testing, and operational reliability
What you bring
- Strong software engineering experience with production systems
- Comfort working with LLMs, AI agents, tool calling, and agent orchestration
- Good judgment around reliability, security, permissions, and external side effects
- Ability to work through ambiguous problems and turn ideas into maintainable products
- Clear communication and practical engineering approach
Nice to have
- Experience with agent frameworks and runtimes such as Hermes Agent or OpenClaw
