ZT Systems is seeking an Early Supplier Involvement Engineer to collaborate with suppliers on cutting-edge thermal, power, and structural integration for high-performance server systems. This remote role focuses on driving design for manufacturability and reliability from concept through prototype builds.
What you will do
- Partner with liquid cooling suppliers for thermal DFM
- Conduct DFM/DFT reviews with EMS and PCB suppliers
- Collaborate with power supply manufacturers for high-density power systems
- Work with chassis suppliers on structural integration and tolerance analysis
- Oversee prototype builds with suppliers for EVT and DVT cycles
- Identify single-source components and drive second-source alternatives
What you bring
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or Manufacturing Engineering
- 4–8+ years in NPI engineering, hardware design, or supplier technical development
- Hands-on experience with liquid cooling or high-power server architecture
- Advanced knowledge of GD&T, CAD software, and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Experience conducting DFM reviews with Tier-1 EMS and PCB fabricators
- Strong cross-functional communication and negotiation skills
Nice to have
- Understanding of high-frequency materials and HDI manufacturing
- Familiarity with Telcordia, OCP standards, and NEBS compliance
- Experience with should-cost tools and PLM systems
