Mozilla is looking for a Policy Communications Lead for Europe to shape the public narrative on critical technology policy issues. This remote role involves translating policy strategy into compelling stories and building relationships with key stakeholders.

What you will do

Translate policy strategy into public narrative
Drive proactive media narrative on privacy, security, AI, open-source, competition, and regulatory issues
Place and amplify thought leadership pieces
Advise communications colleagues and senior leaders on policy comms
Build relationships with journalists, policymakers, and influencers
Craft and edit press releases, blog posts, policy statements, op-eds, speeches, and briefings

What you bring

5-10 years in policy communications or media relations
Exceptional writing and editing skills
Deep knowledge of technology policy issues
Track record of building relationships with journalists and policymakers
Experience advising senior executives on high-stakes communications
Strategic instincts and comfort with ambiguity

Nice to have

Experience in both in-house and agency settings
Additional languages beyond English, particularly French and German
Prior experience in open-source, civil society, or non-profit tech environments
