About the job

Planet is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to lead technical engagements with engineering teams. In this hybrid role, you will drive critical migrations, accelerate platform adoption, and build reusable infrastructure components. You will work to establish standardized paths and enhance observability across the platform.

What you will do

Lead end-to-end technical engagements with engineering teams
Execute critical migrations and develop reference implementations
Accelerate platform adoption for new teams
Establish standardized infrastructure paths
Build reusable libraries, Terraform modules, and Helm charts
Enhance platform observability and inform strategy

What you bring

6+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Background in technical enablement or developer productivity
Hands-on production infrastructure experience
Deep expertise with Kubernetes
Proficiency in Go or Python

Nice to have

Experience with large-scale block storage
Experience driving large-scale migrations
Consulting-adjacent engineering role experience
Familiarity with workflow orchestration like Temporal
Experience defining platform adoption metrics
