About the job

Mozilla is looking for a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join the team that builds and operates the software and systems behind Firefox engineering. In this remote role, you'll own complex technical problems end-to-end and collaborate across engineering, cloud, and IT teams.

What you will do

  • Design, build, deploy, and operate software and systems supporting Firefox engineering
  • Contribute to developer tooling, CI/CD, workflow automation, and AI-assisted development tools
  • Own complex technical problems end-to-end across software, cloud, and operational layers
  • Work with Firefox engineering, Cloud Engineering, IT, and other teams to solve cross-boundary problems
  • Use telemetry, metrics, and data analysis to investigate problems and guide engineering decisions
  • Contribute to architecture and technical strategy, identifying recurring problems and solutions

What you bring

  • Strong software engineering skills
  • Hands-on experience deploying and operating production systems
  • Strong programming skills in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience building and operating production systems in cloud environments with infrastructure as code like Terraform
  • Experience in areas such as CI/CD, containers, orchestration, networking, databases, observability, or developer tooling
  • Experience using data, telemetry, and metrics to investigate technical problems

Nice to have

  • Experience with C++ or Rust
  • Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development tools
