Destinus is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design of aerospace components and systems. Based in Katwijk aan Zee, you will drive projects from concept through manufacturing, integration, and testing.

Wat ga je doen

• Lead design projects for aerospace components and systems from concept to manufacturing, integration, and testing
• Generate 3D CAD models, drawings, schematics, bills of material, and related documentation
• Deliver technical documentation including engineering calculations, analysis, and assumptions
• Prepare and participate in design reviews
• Manage suppliers and manufacturers by addressing technical questions and resolving issues
• Select standard parts, fasteners, equipment, and consumables following best practices

Wat je meebrengt

• BSc or MSc in mechanical or aerospace engineering (technician qualifications with substantial experience considered)
• At least 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in aerospace
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes (machining, sheet metal forming, composites, additive manufacturing)
• Excellent CAD and PLM knowledge (part design, DWGs, DMU management)
• Good engineering material properties knowledge
• Strong engineering fundamentals and analytical skills (dimensioning, load paths, stress, energy, power)

Mooi meegenomen

• Proficiency in Siemens tool suite (NX, TeamCenter PLM)
• Experience with metallic and composite structures design
• Experience with hydraulics, fuel systems, and component design
