Optics11 is seeking a Lead Optical Sensing Development Engineer to drive the development and engineering realization of optical sensor subsystems. In this role, you will translate product requirements into innovative fiber-optic sensing solutions and lead multidisciplinary design teams.

Lead development and engineering realization of optical sensor subsystems
Translate product and subsystem requirements into optical sensing solutions
Develop fiber-optic sensing principles, sensor architectures, and calibration methods
Design and evaluate concepts, prototypes, and engineering models
Analyze test results, identify failure modes, and drive improvements
Support industrialization and improve manufacturability and calibration efficiency

Wat je meebrengt

Master's or PhD in Optical Engineering, Applied Physics, Photonics, or related field
Minimum 10 years industrial experience in fiber-optic sensing or photonics
Minimum 4 years experience leading multidisciplinary design teams
Collaborative mindset and ability to mentor engineers
Experience with industrialization and design for manufacturability
Hands-on experience with testing, characterization, and data analysis

Mooi meegenomen

Experience with Fiber Bragg Grating sensing technologies
Experience developing sensors for subsea or harsh environments
Knowledge of precision mechanics, sensor packaging, and opto-mechanical design
