About the job

Datasnipper is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join the Alwin team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will write production code on complex parts of the platform and build proofs of concept for new agent capabilities. You will shape the Alwin platform by building core abstractions and reference implementations, while contributing to the agent harness including orchestration and evaluation loops.

Contribute to the agent harness including orchestration and evaluation loops
Build reliable agents for regulated domains with traceability and human-in-the-loop
Lead technical decisions and mentor senior engineers

What you bring

10+ years in software engineering with strong production-grade Python
Deep hands-on experience building and shipping agentic or LLM systems in production
Track record of building systems other engineers build on and raising the bar across teams
Experience leading technical decisions and mentoring senior engineers while staying hands-on
Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, software architecture and data modeling on a major cloud platform
Experience with security, access control and auditability for enterprise or regulated customers

Nice to have

Building platforms that other teams and customers build on
Multi-agent orchestration or durable long-running workflows at scale
Retrieval and knowledge systems or document processing
Working closely with Forward Deployed Engineers and GTM teams on enterprise rollouts
Experience at a scale-up going through rapid growth
Domain experience in audit, accounting or fintech
