About the job
Clera is looking for an Applied AI Researcher to join their team in a remote capacity. You will work on synthetic media detection and fraud prevention, bridging research and production.
What you will do
- Investigate methods for synthetic media detection and fraud prevention
- Read and reproduce relevant research
- Design experiments and evaluate model performance
- Implement research ideas and collaborate on production
- Analyze failure cases and improve model reliability
- Document methods and contribute to research papers
What you bring
- Strong foundations in machine learning and experimental design
- Experience building and evaluating models with modern tools
- Ability to translate research into production software
- Critical reading of research papers and clear communication
- Evidence of research and engineering ability
- Comfort with open-ended problems in a small team
Nice to have
- Experience in computer vision, audio processing, or multimodal learning
- Experience in media forensics or adversarial robustness
- Experience with deployment under real-world constraints
