Clera is looking for a Head of Compliance to own the BSA/AML program and lead the compliance team. In this remote role, you will make critical decisions on risk and regulatory matters while supporting business growth.
What you will do
- Serve as BSA/AML Officer and own compliance policies and risk model
- Make final decisions on escalated onboarding, wallet screening, transaction monitoring, and SAR cases
- Identify practical controls for risk while supporting growth
- Lead and mentor compliance analysts
- Represent compliance in bank and partner due diligence and audits
- Oversee analyst workflows and AI-assisted systems
What you bring
- Three to twelve years of relevant experience
- Leadership of a compliance team and ownership of a compliance program at a fintech, payments, or digital-asset business
- Experience at the intersection of compliance and crypto across the Americas
- Strong BSA/AML experience including policy development, risk modeling, SAR filings, regulatory reporting, onboarding, wallet screening, and transaction monitoring
- Knowledge of US-Latin America cross-border trade and trade-based money laundering risks
- Experience coordinating audits and due diligence with banks or payment partners
