Mozilla is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Privacy to enhance Firefox's privacy protections. You'll work remotely in a geographically distributed team, focusing on anti-tracking features and browser engine improvements.

Implement privacy-improving and anti-tracking protections in Firefox
Implement architectural improvements in the Gecko browser engine
Build performant C++, JavaScript, and Rust code
Work in a geographically distributed team asynchronously

Wat je meebrengt

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
At least 4 years of experience in C++ and Rust
Strong background in memory safety, multi-threaded system architecture, or raw data stream manipulation
Proven ability to onboard quickly and deliver complex software projects
Track record of independently scoping and landing complex features within tight release windows
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Contributed to the Mozilla mission and codebase
Experience in browser space (Gecko, Chromium, WebKit) or web engine runtime abstractions
Experience or high interest in designing or leveraging ML pipelines for developer workflows
Deep understanding of web architecture and privacy/security model
Knowledge of basic statistical modeling
Proficiency with Python and SQL
