Transport and crane work in earthmoving
Bert Commandeur Grondverzet & Kraanverhuur at Wieringerwerf was looking for three types of professionals: a tractor driver, a crane operator, and a truck driver.
In earthmoving, these functions belong together. The crane operator digs, trenches along cables and pipes, and loads the dump truck; the tractor driver transports soil, sand, and rubble around the construction site, plot, and polder road, at the speed of the crane. The truck driver transports soil, equipment, and materials on the road. At a company that also rents out cranes, the work differs from day to day.
Three positions, each with its own message
For each role, there was a separate campaign. The tractor driver reads about the equipment, the terrain, and how transport and crane work are coordinated; the crane operator about the crane, the type of jobs, and the degree of independence; the truck driver about the routes, the cargo, and the equipment.
For each position, we specify which experience and which driving license are required and what the company can teach on its own. In this way, the vacancy for the tractor also appeals to people from the agricultural sector, and the one for the crane also to operators who currently operate other equipment.
The campaigns run multichannel, tailored to the position and the region around Wieringerwerf, so that skilled workers who are not actively searching also see it. Responses are followed up per position on experience, expectations, and availability.

For the tractor driver, 21 candidates applied, for the crane operator 15, and for the truck driver 22. Each campaign led to one placement: Bert Commandeur added three skilled workers, one per position. The number of candidates was tracked per position and not summed.
In a separate campaign for the truck driver, 22 candidates applied; this led to one placement.
