From working drawing to execution
At Giesbers Installation Group, part of TBI, the vacancies for work planners, estimators, fitters, engineers, and plumbers at Rotterdam increased simultaneously.
Meltem Saglam, responsible for HRM, was not looking for a one-time solution but a constant stream of suitable candidates.
That makes the question broader than just one vacancy. In installation technology, everything is connected: the estimator calculates the work, the planner arranges drawings, materials, and scheduling, and the mechanic and plumber complete it on-site. Each link requires its own specialist.
Every discipline its own story
For an installer with so many disciplines, one general job advertisement does not work. Our approach is to focus on the work itself for each position: a plumber wants to know what kind of installations they will work on, an engineer which projects will come onto their drawing board, and a work planner who they will coordinate with.
According to the case file, the focus at Giesbers was on improving the candidate flow and refining the application processes. Responses come in per discipline and are also followed up per discipline.
The campaigns run multichannel, tailored to the position and region, so that skilled workers who are not actively searching see the work. In the future, experience, expectations, and availability will be taken into account, so that every response reaches the right position.
