A mobile crane operator

Lifting with a mobile crane
Jeroen van Steenis in Haaften was looking for an operator for the mobile crane: a professional who independently performs lifting work at changing locations.
On a mobile crane, an operator switches between driving, positioning, and lifting. He assesses the ground, sets the outriggers, checks with the load moment limiter if the lift is appropriate, and works closely with the signaler and the people on the construction site. Every job is different, from installing dormers to moving heavy loads. That requires an operator with the right certification, a sense of responsibility, and calm under pressure.
The equipment as a starting point
Operators for a mobile crane are scarce and usually not looking. An operator chooses for his crane, not for a job title. Our approach is to show the equipment and the work concretely: the type of crane, the kind of tasks, and the level of independence on the road.
We also specify which papers and experience are required, and what the company itself can provide. This way, an experienced operator recognizes their work, and someone who wants to make the step to the mobile crane can see where to start.
The campaign runs multichannel, tailored to role and region around Haaften, so that even machine operators in a permanent job see it. In the future, certification, experience, expectations, and availability will be considered, so that the conversation immediately focuses on content.
