A shovel operator for work with concrete slabs
Nedabo was looking for a machinist with experience and a sense of teamwork.

More than just a feel for machines
Arjan Beukhof and Jaco Hendriksen from Nedabo had difficulty filling the vacancy for a shovel operator.
They were looking for someone who is technically strong and fits in the company culture: a team player with experience with concrete slabs, who adapts in a dynamic work environment.
On a site full of stacked concrete slabs, a loader is not a machine to just drive hard with. Loading, unloading, and moving requires a sense of weight and center of gravity, an overview of who is walking around, and short lines of communication with colleagues on the ground. It was precisely that combination that made the vacancy difficult.
The equipment and the team as a starting point
For an operator vacancy, our approach starts with the work itself: what equipment, what type of load, and how the day on site proceeds. An operator then immediately recognizes whether the work fits his experience.
According to the file, at Nedabo the candidate flow was refined and the company culture was explicitly highlighted in recruitment. This meant that not only machine skills were included in the campaign, but also the way the team works together. For a team player, that is often just as decisive as the type of loader.
The campaign ran multichannel, tailored to the role and the region, so that even operators who are not actively looking see it. In the follow-up, experience with comparable equipment, expectations, and availability were prioritized.
