Cooks for Café ’t Tolhuis
Tolhuistuin · Self-employed cook · Amsterdam

A chef who can run a station independently
Noa van den Horn and the team of Tolhuistuin in Amsterdam were looking for independently working cooks: reliable people who contribute to the cozy atmosphere and the quality of the café, and who fit the story of Café ’t Tolhuis.
A self-sufficient chef runs his station without anyone looking over his shoulder. He prepares the mise-en-place, cooks à la minute during service, keeps the HACCP records, and can also manage the kitchen alone for an evening. Speed, calmness, and consistent quality are just as important as taste. Chefs with that independence are in demand, and most already have a job.

Showing the work at the stove
For a chef, we make the work tangible in the campaign: what kind of kitchen, which dishes, how the shifts run, and who they work with in the kitchen. A chef immediately recognizes whether the pace and style suit them.
The job vacancy appeals to experienced chefs, but also to chefs who have just started working independently. We mention what is immediately required, such as running a service independently, and what the team can teach.
The message contains the things a chef pays attention to: the menu, the size of the kitchen, the number of covers on a busy night, the working hours, and the days off.
The campaign runs multichannel, tailored to role and region in and around Amsterdam, so that even professionals who are not actively looking can see the work. In the future, experience, expectations, and availability will also be taken into account, so that every conversation is about the right people.
