Jullian Visscher from Visscher Waterbouw in Genemuiden was looking for experienced operators for specialized water construction projects: professionals who are technically strong and have an affinity with water construction.
In hydraulic engineering, an operator is part of specialized work along banks and waterways. He installs revetments and bank protection, dredges ditches and canals, and often works from a pontoon or the shore. Wind, water level, and the load-bearing capacity of the bank play a role in every movement. At Visscher, the search was therefore for experience and interest in the profession.
Making hydraulic engineering recognizable
For an operator in hydraulic engineering, we make visible in the campaign what makes the work different from earthmoving on dry land: what experience with hydraulic engineering is required, how bank protection comes into play in the work, and how the operator collaborates with the team.
Because Jullian was explicitly also looking for interest in the field, the story is not only about equipment, but also about the projects themselves: working in and around the water, in an environment that is different every day.
The campaign runs multichannel, tailored to role and region around Genemuiden, so that even machine operators who are not actively searching see it. In the future, experience, motivation for hydraulic engineering, and availability will be considered, so that the conversation focuses on craftsmanship.
