About the job

Optics11 is looking for a Data & ML Infrastructure Engineer to design and maintain robust data and machine learning platforms. You will ensure platform reliability, evolve vendor-delivered components, and build data workflows in a cloud-agnostic environment.

What you will do

Design and maintain data and ML platform infrastructure
Ensure platform reliability and uptime
Evolve vendor-delivered platform components
Build data workflows for dataset versioning and model lifecycle
Enforce DevOps and MLOps practices
Develop cloud-agnostic containerized solutions

What you bring

MSc or equivalent with 5+ years industry experience in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Machine Learning
Experience with data platforms and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform)
Experience with ML platforms (MLflow, Feast, DVC, DataHub)
Experience with AWS Sagemaker or Google Vertex AI
Programming skills in Python

Nice to have

Knowledge of data governance and security frameworks
Experience with cost optimization in cloud environments
Familiarity with multi-tenant platform architectures
Experience with EU data compliance in energy, maritime, or defense
