About the job
Fairphone is looking for a Product Compliance Officer to join their team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will ensure that products meet global regulatory standards while supporting the company's mission for sustainable electronics.
What you will do
- Translate regulatory standards into product requirements
- Monitor global legislation changes and inform product roadmap
- Manage compliance product technical files
- Review user guides and packaging compliance texts
- Define compliance requirements for contracts
- Act as internal point of contact for product compliance questions
What you bring
- Minimum 7 years of product compliance experience in consumer electronics
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Law, or related technical field
- Deep expertise in global regulatory frameworks including EU/CE and US standards
- Strategic and analytical skills to translate legislation into engineering requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Mandarin and French
- Practical knowledge of circular electronics and sustainability certifications
