Flexport is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Applied AI to design and ship end-to-end AI agents for logistics tasks. You will work directly with operators, domain experts, and leadership on ambiguous problems, moving fast from idea to production.

Design and ship end-to-end AI agents for logistics tasks
Cross organizational boundaries to understand problems and align stakeholders
Move fast from idea to production, treating deployments as learning opportunities
Work directly with operators, domain experts, and leadership on ambiguous problems

What you bring

5+ years of software engineering experience
Extensive experience building with LLMs
Strong product instincts to identify what is worth building
LLM fluency in agent patterns, RAG, prompt engineering, tool use, evaluation
Full-stack capability in TypeScript and Next.js
Entrepreneurial drive and excellent communication skills

Nice to have

Experience with workflow orchestration (e.g., Temporal)
Experience building internal tools or operator-facing applications
