Quantware is seeking a Lead Automation Engineer to define and drive the fab automation roadmap in Delft. In this role, you will lead the integration of process, metrology, and test equipment while building and managing the automation and manufacturing systems team.

What you will do

Define and maintain fab automation roadmap
Develop architecture for equipment connectivity and data collection
Lead integration of process, metrology, and test equipment
Support selection, implementation, and operation of MES platform
Define requirements for manufacturing data collection and storage
Build and lead fab automation and manufacturing systems team

What you bring

BSc/MSc/PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or related field
7+ years experience in semiconductor manufacturing automation
Experience with semiconductor equipment integration and automation
Practical knowledge of SECS/GEM communication standards
Experience with MES systems in manufacturing environment
Experience managing technical projects with multiple stakeholders and vendors

Nice to have

Experience supporting MES implementation projects end-to-end
Experience with SPC or FDC systems
Experience integrating semiconductor metrology and test equipment
Familiarity with cloud-based manufacturing data platforms and ETL concepts
Experience in quantum, superconducting, photonics, MEMS, or advanced technology manufacturing
