About the job

Quantware is seeking an RF Engineer to lead quantum processor design, layout, and simulation. In this role, you will develop chip design tools and manage full design projects for R&D and product development.

What you will do

Develop quantum chip design tools including PDKs, DRCs, tuners, and tape-out generation tools
Own quantum chip design projects for R&D and product development
Manage full development loop for designed chips, coordinating with fabrication and measurement teams
Support foundry customers in designing chips conforming to PDK
Drive process improvement initiatives for tools, workflows, and design-to-tapeout processes

What you bring

MSc or higher in circuit design and microwave/RF engineering
Hands-on experience with RF simulation tools like ANSYS HFSS or Sonnet
4+ years of collaborative Python programming
Track record of delivering complex technical projects with initiative and autonomy
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills in cross-disciplinary environment

Nice to have

Experience with superconducting and quantum circuits
Familiarity with quantum design tools like Qiskit Metal, KLayout, or GDSFactory and CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of nanofabrication processes and cryogenic measurement techniques
