About the job

Mozilla is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead the technical architecture of new Services products. You will write code, build prototypes, and make technical decisions across the organization.

What you will do

Lead technical architecture of new Services products
Write code, build prototypes, and contribute throughout development lifecycle
Establish software patterns and make technical decisions across Services products
Build and evolve analytics and infrastructure for data-informed decisions
Take on ambiguous high-level problems with broad scope
Provide technical and product direction and mentor other engineers

What you bring

10+ years of web software development experience
Expert-level JavaScript skills and knowledge of at least one additional language like Python, Rust, Go, or C++
Experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development, or API development
Strong knowledge of software development practices including testing, code review, and documentation
Experience acting as technical lead and providing mentorship
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Nice to have

Experience with product management or product-focused work
