Attracting an experienced mechanic turned out to be a different story for Real Art on Wheels. Bodie Hage was looking for reinforcement for the workshop but received too few applications from mechanics with the right qualifications.
The question was specific: a car mechanic with APK certification, who matches the level of the cars as well as the expectations of their owners. A love for cars was a good start; professional knowledge had to naturally accompany that.
Bodie wanted to strengthen the team with someone who could provide the quality and expertise that customers come for.
The cars as a point of reference, the profession as a benchmark
The personnel requirement indicated the direction: connecting the appeal of the cars to a concrete profession. For a mechanic, it had to be clear what makes this workplace special, but also what experience and MOT certification are required.
This was followed by targeted recruitment. We leveraged the appeal of luxury cars in recruitment and improved the application funnel. The cars served as the point of connection; the content of the position determined who we were looking for.
We work from a multichannel approach: bringing the employer story to attention through multiple channels. In this case, that story is about the combination of special cars and serious workshop craftsmanship. This way, the search for an MOT mechanic gets a recognizable face.
