About the job

I3d is seeking a Data Center Construction Lead to oversee the construction of a new facility in Capelle aan den IJssel. You will validate designs, coordinate on-site activities, and ensure the project meets high-performance standards for gaming and digital experiences.

What you will do

  • Validate design and approve drawings before construction
  • Challenge assumptions for cost-effective and resilient solutions
  • Validate cooling, power, redundancy, space, and structural requirements
  • Coordinate site construction activities and stakeholder communication
  • Monitor progress, quality, and site readiness
  • Identify and escalate project risks and delays

What you bring

  • Led multiple data center construction projects, including at least one near 10,000 m²
  • Strong knowledge of data center power and cooling infrastructure
  • Led construction activities on site coordinating contractors and suppliers
  • Manages competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, fluent in English
  • Prior project experience in the Netherlands

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with direct-to-chip cooling, CDUs, and rear-door heat exchangers
  • Experience supporting large-scale compute deployments
  • Experience in live, mission-critical environments
  • Knowledge of MOPs, infrastructure change management, and operational readiness
