About the job
Zscaler is looking for a Staff Data Center Operations Engineer to join their team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will handle physical deployments, hardware troubleshooting, and vendor coordination while supporting significant travel.
What you will do
- Execute physical rack-and-stack deployments and structured cabling
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware and network faults
- Manage operational ticket queues and corrective maintenance
- Coordinate with engineering teams and third-party technicians
- Maintain asset tracking documentation
- Support up to 50% domestic and international travel
What you bring
- 5+ years in production data center environments
- Experience directing remote data center vendors
- U.S. citizenship
- Deep technical understanding of server platforms, network hardware, optics, and cabling
- Proficient with Linux/Unix command-line, BIOS, and out-of-band management tools
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly

- Proven ability to leverage AI technologies for operational efficiency
- Experience applying AI-assisted engineering tools to diagnostics or automation
